"The Foundation for Manatee Community College, Inc. has engaged the services of the Sarasota Catering Company on several occasions over the past few years for special events including building grand openings and donor cultivation events. When we select a caterer our criteria involves much more than being the lowest bid. We look for high quality presentation and service, menu creativity, professionalism, flexibility, ease of the working relation ship as well as price. We have never been disappointed with our selection of the Sarasota Catering Company. We first became acquainted with Sarasota Catering Company when Dr. Sarah Pappas, our previous college president, attended an event where she was so impressed she asked for the caterer’s card. She immediately brought that card to the Foundation and suggested we include them on our bid list. The first opportunity that presented itself Sarasota Catering Company was invited to submit a menu and a bid. They were successful, and since that event they have catered every on-campus function the Foundations has coordinated. Foundation events rarely take place in just one location. Our events typically include a reception in one location or building followed by a dinner in another building. This requires flexibility and creativity on the part of the caterer as no kitchen facilities have been available. In two instances, they were required to be set up simultaneously in an indoor and outdoor setting. These settings require more than one staging area, staff being available on schedule, and a must for us – a seamless transition in the flow of the event. The catering staff has blended well with our own Foundation staff, pitching in to ensure the overall success of the event. From setup to take down, the Sarasota Catering Company has delivered and absolute first class experience for our Foundation."
